IIUPE was started as IUPE (Inter University Photography Exhibition) at first in
2000 by North South University Photography Club as an endeavor, a vision to promote
photography among the photography enthusiasts in Bangladesh. Then in 2003 IUPE became
IIUPE - International Inter University Photography Exhibition. IIUPE was established
as the medium through which, promising artists would get a platform to showcase
their skills and ...creativity to the world. IIUPE not only brings out the hidden
talent in people and showcases it, but at the same time, establishes a network between
all photography enthusiasts – both professional and amateur, giving them a chance
to interact, a chance to learn from each other and a chance to expand their horizons
even further.
IIUPE is being organized by NSUPC for the 7th time, and we are proud to say that
IIUPE 2011 has successfully broken all previous records with:
- 31 Countries.
- 120 Universities.
- 239 Photographs from 5500 Entries.

152 Photographers from 645 Photographers.
The choices were difficult to make but our jury panel comprising of renowned photographers,
Shahfiqul Alam Kiron, Munem Wasif and Andrew Biraj have chosen the most deserving
37 entries, including photo stories, for awards.
The selected photos will be exhibited in 2 different venues –
8th July, 2011 - 14th July, 2011: DRIK Gallery, Dhaka, Bangladesh.(ONLY
AWARD WINNING PHOTOS & PHOTO-STORIES)
15th July, 2011 - 22nd July, 2011: Jatiya Chitrashala, Bangladesh
Shilpakala Academy, Segunbagicha, Dhaka, Bangladesh. (ALL SINGLE ENTRIES)
The exhibition is open for all, everyday from July 8 to July 14, 2011, during 3pm-8pm,
at Drik Gallery & July 15 to July 22, 2011, during 10am-7pm, at Jatiya Chitrashala
of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
The exhibition curator is Tanvir Murad Topu.
Come, join us as we see the world around us from completely different perspectives
and behold the unseen sights which very few people have seen.
